Alex Grossi was born and raised in South Windsor, CT. His musical career began when, at age eleven, he took-up the French horn. After countless beatings on the playground during recess and the harsh realization that groupies at his school band concerts were few and far between, he decided to switch to guitar.
Some things you should know about Alex Grossi....
- He failed the driver's license road test four times at four different DMV's.
- Managed to total his mother's car during one of the tests. (He currently does not have a valid driver's license)
- Once performed Eric Johnson's "Cliffs of Dover" behind his head while dancing the Lambada.
- Has never seen Star Wars.
- Owns a Paul Reed Smith Dragon II guitar (and loves talking about it).
- Was once in a band with Sib Hashian, the original drummer for Boston.
- Holds the Connecticut state record for the biggest large mouth bass caught on a rod and reel (13 lbs, 4 ounces).
- Studied Eastern Philosophy at Hogwood University in Squatney, England.
- Has a tattoo on his right arm that says "MOM" with a big red heart around it.
- Sometimes claims that he invented the question mark.
- Has a non-sexual crush on Joe C. from Kid Rock's Twisted Brown Trucker Band.
